Was bored so I checked my stats to see which of my pieces has the most comments, view and faves.

Most comments was my Batman piece.



What I like about this piece is really when I started heading in a different direction with my art. I wanted to do a more painted look with my colouring and I remember spending a long time on that piece. There's a lot of things I would change on it, but I'm really happy with how the background came out.

Next up is most views, which is my DMC Nero piece.



This is a pretty simple piece and was pretty much my signature style for a long time. It's drawn and inked on paper, scanned in then coloured in Photoshop with a mouse. The process of colouring this style is pretty easy as well. All it is, is just flats on one layer, then the shadows on a new layer which is set on Multiply, then I just shade everything with the same colour which is normally a light purple colour.

I remember with this piece one of the things I wanted to do but couldn't work out what to do was to make his hand glow. That's something I would like to redo.

Lastly is the most faves which is my most recent piece of Batman + Catwoman.



I'm really happy that this piece is getting a lot of faves and I guess tells me I'm heading in the right direction with my art. The one thing I like to change with this piece is the background column. Perhaps it's a little too half assed and I could have done a lot better job with it. Maybe done a triangle shape instead with the direction going down. Anyway that's something I'm learning and really I just need to draw and colour a lot more to figure these things out.

I've been a bit slack when it comes to my artwork, I don't really draw as much as I should. But I think using Painter has really turned that around for myself, that I really want to draw more and get better at this stuff. So kinda looking forward to what the rest of the year brings.
